Town Class Gear Listings Town Class Sails, Rudder & Boom For Sale: I have a Townie rudder and a boom for sale. I am asking $200 for the rudder and $50 for the boom. Please contact me at tlynch2@statestreet.com for further details. Thank you! Tim Lynch Town Class Parts For Sale "All but the Hull":
I’m giving up a dream. 20 years ago I dismantled a tired Town Class with the idea that I would build a new boat and use the gear. I offer for sale “all but the hull”.
The sails have no class insignia but carry the number 44. The boat was carvel planked, I understand Pert Lowell built a few that way before going to lapstrake for the class design. Almost all of the hardware and rigging is bronze, exceptions in stainless are noted.
Mast and boom, stored inside, need light sanding and varnish, complete with hardware including sail tracks, sail stop and outhaul, all blocks and gooseneck. Spreaders w/clevis pins, mast tangs and chain plates, forestay and shrouds with turnbuckles, folding traveler, halyards and sheets.
Rudder with hangers (SS & bronze but the wood is a bit tired, some rust stains), tiller, whisker pole, boom crutch. Centerboard bolt and flange (SS). Bow cleat, halyard cleats, modern main sheet swivel block w/cam cleats, bronze jib sheet cam cleats, fairleads, stemhead plate
Sails, Dacron? By Bailey and Staub, main, jib and genoa. I can have them stretched to determine viability
Miscellaneous blocks, fasteners, etc.
These are genuine original parts for a classic restoration, all looking for a good home. Please contact me for more info and pricing at: juris.pukinskis@gmail.com.
